American Romantic Period

The following are the three parts of the WebQuest:

Part I (Group)

You and a classmate will research the time period of the American Romantics and explain what life was like in that period. You should look at social issues, the economy, and overall status of the US. You will also research one of the following subcategories of the American Romantic Period (Romanticism, Transcendentalism, American Gothic) One of the categories will be assigned to your group.

Part II (Group)

You and your partner will be assigned one of the writers of the American Romantic Period and create a presentation around the writer and how they contributed to the American Identity that we have identified during class lecture.

Part III (Individual)

You will work on a handout in which you will provide analysis of a text based off of the research and information you found of the writer and time. You will also provide analysis of writing from one of the writers another group researched.
