At this end of this WebQuest, students should have a clear understanding about Order of Operations and how to solve equations by applying the principles associated with Order of Operations. The students should be able to appropriately use the web to search and follow instructions given by the teacher. The tools that will be used to do this WebQuest are a blog and the internet. 

At the end of this lesson, students should be able to: 

    • Define the term Order of Operations explicitly after in-class discussions, read blog and participating in this WebQuest. 
    • Define the acronym PEMDAS after in-class discussions, read blog and participating in this WebQuest.
    • List the various names for parenthesis after participating in this WebQuest.
    • State the other acronyms associated with Order of Operations after participating in this WebQuest. 
    • Solve equations on the blog, in-class and on this WebQuest using Order of Operations principles or acronym.
    • Give various examples of equations by manipulating the parenthesis in the equations. 
    • Solve various equations using the principles associated with Order of Operations.
