Cultural Literature from Around the Globe

During the introductory phase of learning about the worldwide web the students will use the websites provided for them in the Web-quest to explore aspects of different cultures from around the world. As they browse through each site they will be given tasks such as reading, writing, listening to a historical video, and be exposed to the reading of graphic comics and novels. By the time the 50 minutes task is over they will have learned how the Internet can be used as motivational reading tool, ways in which it can be used to gather information, and a sort of geographical tool to learn about different people and cultures. Students will visit the library for this assignment, and the only tools they will need are the library computer, an ink-pen, and a notebook. Again learning goals are Internet usage, reading, writing, and listening.
