A Confederate Winter In Dalton
Record your personal involvement in the battles of Chickamauga and Chattanooga.
Your job is to write four letters to various loved ones describing what you experienced at Chickamauga and Chattanooga. You can create your own family dynamic. Maybe your letter is to you parents, or maybe it's to your wife or husband. You could be writing to a friend as well. You get to decide to whom the letters are written. You must write four letters, and they must be at least one page in length. A soldier who has been away from their family, and been through months of grueling battle will have plenty to say. You can also create your role as a soldier. Maybe you are a cook, nurse, infantry soldier, or maybe you manned a cannon on Missionary Ridge. These things are up to you. Your letters should include details concerning Chickamauga, Chattanooga, and the living conditions you are experiencing in Dalton, Georgia. Each letter should include your opinion on whether the war you're fighting in is worth what you have endured.
