Protest Music

Lesson Objectives

During this Web Quest you will:

1. explore examples of protest music written and produced during America's involvement in the Vietnam conflict.
   
2. learn about the power of music as a  vehicle for social change.
3. understand how music was used to draw attention to the social issues of the war.
4. understand how musicians use music and song to protest social injustice occurring around the world.  
5. research current protest music that addresses social injustice and/or problems and provide examples of modern protest music.
6. develop 3 reflection questions for the music examples.
7. present your findings to the class as a Google Slide presentation.
