Split Parties

In this quest, you will look at the events of the 1912 presidential election and the events of the Democratic and Republican conventions of 2016.  After reviewing the events, you will be able to explain why Theodore Roosevelt split the Republican ticket and the results of the party split.  You will also find similarities and differences between election years 1912 and 2016.  Finally, you will write a position paper stating reasons why someone who was previously a rival would choose to endorse or choose not to endorse the presidential candidate for their party.
