Now that we have thoroughly read through our two books over these past two weeks, it is time to begin our project! This project is called: OUR CREATIVE NON-FICTION MASTERPIECES! This project will focus and hone your Reading, Researching, Writing, and Presentation skills. We have already done some thorough reading, but over the next two weeks, we will work on the rest of this project.

  • The Teacher Will: Provide extensive materials, training, resources, and opportunities for the students to be able to research and write a short creative non-fiction piece. The teacher will also provide criteria for successful assignments as well as appropriate and fair grading according to the standards that will be discussed in class, adhered to the rubric provided.
  • The Student Will: Take advantage of the many opportunities and resources offered in class, and out of class, in order to create a short creative non-fiction piece. The student will be expected to follow the guidelines offered by the teacher, and aim for the best score possible.
This may seem like a lot of work, but I know you all can do it. This is an HONORS Class after all. You are the breed of students who exceed expectations everyday, so I know you can do this! I will offer all the best possible help I can throughout this process. A lot of our class-work and class-time will be spent working on these projects. Good luck! Let's create some CREATIVE NON-FICTION MASTERPIECES!
