To run the country, you need to research important pressing issues for that day. Then these important pressing issues which you identify, must be important to the greater portion of the American people. Once this is done, then create a detailed schedule for your day. This schedule should be as detailed as possible. You must remeber that since you are the acting President, veryone will maintain their schedules according to the President's schedule.
