Below are lists of the top most banned classic books and the top most banned books of this year. The task at hand is to choose one of these books, or if you research another book that you are interested in, come to the teacher for approval. Once a book is chosen, 
  1. Get permission slip from teacher for parents to sign.
  2. You have two weeks to finish this book.
  3. Research why this book has been banned, where it is banned, and what this entails.
  4. Write essay on this information. 
  5. Create a power point arguing your point of view.
  6. Present presentation to class.
  7. Re write essay with opposing point of view.
  8. Now that you understand both sides of this argument, what are your "new views" and why?
  9. Write final essay on this topic answering the question, "To be banned, or not to be banned?"
