Management Roles of the LPN

As the nurse manager, it is your responsibility to address all of these issues to continue the quality of care and excellence that you expect from all of your staff. During the week, you need to schedule a meeting with Suzy to address all of these issues. As you prepare for the upcoming meeting, you review Suzy's  personnel file.

Suzy was hired six months ago and has not had any previous complaints made about her nursing care or her communication skills. She has been tardy twice within a six month period and has not had any major incident occurrences during her shift.

These complaints appear to be new and there is no record of previous concerns expressed. It is apparent that there is a behavior change with Suzy. Since she has been a good employee up until now, you would like to identify the factors that might have changed her performance and return her to a quality care provider.
