the earths motion is rotation. it rotates on a thing calles an axis, and also moves with respect to the earths crust this is calles the polar motion. the moons motion also rotates on its axis it also rotates around the sun and earth a full moon rotation takes 23 days. the sun also rotates on its axis but it does not rotate on a solid body that means it spins faster towards the equater and slower towards the poles
