Child Labor and Sweat Shops around the World

In this WebQuest on Child Labor and Sweatshops you will use the internet for practically all of your research. 

You will work in cooperative learning groups of 4-5 students.

You will develop an understanding of the impact of child labor in developing countries.

You will develop an understanding of sweatshops and what takes place there.

You will develop an understanding of factors that contribute to some U.S. companies allowing their products to be manufactured in sweatshops.

You will identify some of the problems confronted by people in Asia, Africa, and Latin America (the 3 main countries where child labor exists).

You will expand your prior knowledge of global issues  by understanding by understanding a total perspective of the issue of child labor by exploring more than one side of the debate.

You will brainstorm ideas of what you can do as a global citizen to end child labor.
