Competency Based Instruction and Individualized Instruction

In modern times, where learners lack interest in the traditional classroom practices, the teacher is forced to adopt a variety of non-traditional approaches to the teaching and learning activity.  As a teacher in training, you will be required to employ innovative teaching strategies while catering to the individual needs of learners.

This Webquest is designed to assist you with your exploration of effective alternative approaches to teaching and learning.  You may ask  why these approaches are not currently employed in every school and in every subject area? Well, upon completing the tasks assigned in this webquest, hopefully you will discover the answers to these questions.

You will need to work in groups to complete the tasks assigned.  You are required to create a pamphlet with information acquired in this webquest to educate other student teachers about Competency Based Instruction and Individualized Instruction as well as explain the relationship (if any) between the two. The number of pages should not exceed twelve (12).
