Task
Your journey will begin with a brief overview of the four main types of financial aid:
- Grants
- Scholarships
- Loans
- Work-Study
You will begin by looking at federal financial aid opportunities as you complete a FAFSA on-line and determine your eligibility for federal grants, work-study and loans.
Next your journey will continue as you seek out state grants and scholarships.
Third, you will then inquire about financial aid information and opportunities colleges or universities of your choice. These are your �institutional� opportunities for financial aid, and lastly you will seek out private scholarships and grants.
Realizing it will take a some time before you receive responses from institutions and private sources, the main goal of the quest is to secure opportunities for aid, successfully apply for them, and remove the financial barrier that could stand between you and a college education. Using the college net price calculator at the end of the quest process will give you an idea of where you stand financially and the funds you still need to obtain to achieve the dream!
