Lewis & Clark Expedition
Task
Each student will explore what brought about the Louisiana Purchase and why this was such an important moment for America. You will also explore why this purchase prompted the expedition of Lewis and Clark westward through that vast new land. Don't forget to look for and note the who, what, when, where, why and how of these events. Answering the 5 w's will help you to be able to name key historical figures, give dates and other detailed information when giving your group presentations.
After each groups research has been completed you will then choose an activity to present your new found information. The three activities to choose from are: to present a skit, produce a comic strip, or produce a power point or video. Each activity is worth 100 points There will be six groups of 3-5 students, and each activity can only be chosen by two different groups. Happy exploring!
