Causes and Effects of September 11, 2001

     Everyone who was watching television on Tuesday morning, September 11, 2011 experienced tragedy.  Some people watched with horror, some people were angry.  All were shocked.  Grownups kept thinking back to the simplicity of yesterday, September 10, 2011.  Children watched the grownups and were caught up in the drama of the day.  The drama lasted weeks for a few, months for some and years for the rest of us.

     Unless you're about 15 years old, you can't begin to fathom the change that became our country after that day.

     We want you to know how or why America has changed since, what has become known as 9-1-1.

     In Boston, a girl sat at the dinner table with her Mom and the girl knew something was different, but didn't know why.  Mom was either talking real fast or not at all.  She thought she knew her Mom's mood swings, but never saw her Mom act so strange.  She thought, maybe her Mom was mad at something she did, but she couldn't think of anything she did wrong today, or yesterday for that matter.  The girl was scared.
