Your task will be to explore various physical activities that address the 5 components of fitness, siting examples of activities for each component.  You will be required to keep a notebook with the information you have discovered.  You will include:  The 5 Components of fitness, the F.I.T.T. Formula, a list of the Food Groups and a discussion on  healthy nutrition and exercise as it relates to obesity and disease, the formula for taking and recording your resting and target heart rate, charts, and any other interesting information you discover to keep in your notebook.  In addition, once you have visited the links provided to you, collected information; you will create a poster identifying the 5 components of fitness including examples, nutritional foods, etc. making it colorful, fun and interesting to present to the class.  Lastly, you will develop a personal workout program that will help you maintain and improve your fitness levels to use throughout your life. Mix it up & keep it interesting. Record keeping charts should be included in your program so you can document and follow your progress and it should address the 5 components of fitness. You may put your routine to work and keep track of your improvements for extra credit.
