The First American Colonies

You are to choose one of the following colonies to research: Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Georgia.  In order to conduct your research you will use at least one of the websites given, a book of your choice, an online encyclopedia, and at least one of your Social Studies textbooks.  As you are researching you will need to find out why the colony was founded, the geography and climate of the colony, what jobs are available there, and who could participate in the government.  While you are compiling your information be thinking of a slogan and three catchy phrases.  After all of your information is gathered, you will need to create a poster/billboard advertising your colony that will entice other colonists to come live there.  All realtors will present their posters/billboards to the colonists arriving from Britain.
