In part 1 of this Web Quest, you and a partner will explore the definitions of weather and climate.

In part 2 and 3, you and your partner will find and graph information on recent precipitation totals and the 30 year average precipitation in your area.  Your team will also graph the recent temperatures as well as the average temperatures.

In part 4, you and your partner will interpret your graphs and use them to make an effective scientific explanation regarding weather and climate.

In order to be effective, your scientific explanation will include a claim, evidence, and reasoning.

1. The claim is a sentence that answers the original question, "What is the difference between weather and climate?".
2. The evidence is your graph(s) of the precipitation and temperature data you have collected.
3. The reasoning is your explanation of how the evidence gives proof of your claim and answers the original question.
