Are Vaccinations Safe?

You have several taks to complete before you can accomplish your goal of writing your article, a Persuasive Essay & creating a PowerPoint in which you will present your findings at the "Health Conference" (our class).

 

1.  You will be working in a three member team to complete this project.  Each person in your group will conduct a FACT FINDING MISSION in which you will research and collect information based on your specific role.  Keep these key questions in mind as you explore information during your research.

 

a.  Do Vaccines really eliminate disease?

 

b.  What toxins are in the vaccines?

 

c.  Were multiple vaccines tested for safety?

 

d.  Who might be at risk by taking vaccinations?

 

e.  What chronic health problems may be associated with vaccinations?

 

f.  What is the law?  Do I have the right to refuse vaccines for my children and still have them attend school?

 

g.  Is there a link between vaccinations and Autism and other health issues?

 

 

2.  Roles:  Each of you will choose one of the following roles.

 

a.  Unbiased Journalistic Reporter only presenting information and facts.

 

b.  Journalistic Reporter representing the parent view and leading the fight against mandatory vaccinations.

 

c.  Journalistic Reporter representing the Health Department and the medical community viewpoints.

  

 

3.  Each person will INTERVIEW at least one adult person with an interest in Autism and other health concerns related to vaccinations.  (see the process section for the question you will be asking.)

 

 

4.  After choosing roles, brainstorming, planning, interviewing, researching, & discussing the information and data, you will WRITE A JOURNALISTIC PERSUASIVE ESSAY ARTICLE and DESIGN/CREATE a POWERPOINT, based on the role you have chosen. 

 

 

5.  Finally, you will present an ORAL REPORT at the conference (our class) with the results of your findings, using your Persuasive Essay / PowerPoint.

 

 

6.  You will complete a SELF-ASSESSMENT using a Rubric
