In this webquest students will study the effects of these storms and use geospatial skills to present their findings. Title: Climate Change Study at Paradise Creek Nature Park

Description: Paradise Creek Nature Park is a GLOBE Project Study Site. Throughout the year elementary and secondary school groups visit the park and collect and report hydrosphere/biosphere/atmosphere data following protocols set by GLOBE. The NASA Giovanni interface is intended to provide a introductory learning environment about global, regional, and local climate change for the use of educators and students. The Giovanni data sets in the DICCE (Data-enhanced Investigations for Climate Change Education) Portal allow for the creation of local climate change investigation modules and expansion of these modules to the context of global climate change.In this study students compare MODIS (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) remote sensing data from the Terra satellite obtained via Giovanni to their collected GLOBE data.The lesson development was funded by a grant with Hampton Univesity.
