2. Assign jobs for each person in the group.  If someone does not want to have a speaking part in the video, there must be visible evidence of their contributions...i.e., they need to write a script for the "newscasters."  (The whole group WILL BE in the video, but not every member of the group is required to speak.) 

3. Each member should contribute at least one idea for the newscast.  Remember, you need 4-6 suggestions for citizens to make changes in the community.  (Think about things that may need to be changed within our school, or simply think of ways for citizens to get involved in the community.) 

4. Discuss creative ways to present your information within the newscast.  You can make posters to have in the background (think Matt Lauer on the Today Show), or you can approach the assignment in an interview fashion (one person in the group could be a citizen, one a reporter).  Have fun with your group, and try to make your video interesting! 

5. Rehearse your script before you ask to be recorded.  These videos will be shown to your classmates, so professionalism will be expected and graded.
