Fairy Tale News

Step 1. Please read all of the following fairy tales.  Fill out your Fairy Tale Element Sheet as you read them.  Click on the name of the Fairy Tales to read the stories.

Step 2.  In your group decide who is going to write about which fairy tale.  Don't forget you have several options on how you can write about your fairy tale. Click on the Newspaper Article Link to look at the examples of articles to give you an idea of what your article should sound like. to get a step by step guide to a good newspaper article.

1. You could pretend you are a character and give an editorial stating your opinion or giving a perspective. 

2. You could report on something that happened in the story.  Remember to answer Who? What? When? Where? Why? and How?

3. You could give a review of the story.

4. You could write a want ad for the classifieds.

5. You could write a sports story incorporating characters from two of the fairy tales you read.

6. You may come up with your own idea as long as Cinder Elly approves.

Step 3. Please click on the Newspaper Article Template and print a copy to write your rough draft on.

Step 5. Each person in your group will need to type their article using the same document in Microsoft Publisher Newsletter. When you are finished please edit it one more time and add a picture.  Save it under your group number.

 
Step 6. Once everyone has typed their article please look over your newspaper as a group.  Check it carefully using the rubric.

Step7. Please submit your newspaper to Cindy Rella.  She will let everyone know who got the job once all the newspapers are in.  Good Luck!
