1. Get together in groups of three and assign each other the following roles:

        
a)Researcher-This person gathers conceptual information for projects and creates an APA 6th edition citation page for information contributing to the project. Technology used: Google Docs docs.google.com Google Drive drive.google.com
b)Designer-This person uses Sketchpad https://sketch.io/sketchpad/ to storyboard projects and create a digital designs. Also use Google Drive drive.google.com to circulate group work.
c)Organizer-This person acts as the “middle person” who takes the design and worded aspects of the project and creates a plan for how projects will flow. This person also finds royalty free photos for projects. Any photos taken from alternate sources must be submitted to the researcher for citation, Technology used: Google Docs docs.google.com Google Drive drive.google.com


2. Students discover the history of the photomontage by watching the following videos, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdBaS8fgwNs

3. Students will gather together for a mini project to create a poster about what they’ve learned about the Photomontage. Only pictures may be used to tell your story. Projects will be created in Canva https://www.canva.com/


4. Students will create a Photomontage using the photo editor https://pixlr.com/. Please use this video to review pixlr techniques https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xOCi_I5_Jc.


a)Researchers must read articles on frontline workers using The New York Times https://www.nytimes.com/, to discover frontline workers stories, statistical information etc.
b)Designers must create a template for the Photomontage. Using design principles discussed in class, generate a framework displaying concepts discovered by the researcher.
c)Organizers find royalty free images reflecting information found by the researcher, utilizing the Designer’s framework to organize how stories should be told and how images should be placed.
