Geometric Points of Concurrency
Process
1. PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE
ASSESSMENT: Before you are
teamed with other valuable assets, use your personal human
intelligence to:
a.
List on a piece of notebook paper all properties and
knowledge you have about triangles.
b.
List all properties and personal knowledge you now have
concerning points of concurrency, especially incenters, orthocenters,
circumcenters, and centroids.
2. TEAM UP: After your MIF TEAM Leader, your teacher, assembles the MIF Team:
a.
Introduce
yourself to each team member.
b.
Find at least one item all of you have in common.
c.
Share your Personal Assessment Knowledge, from above, with
all team members and arrive at a consensus agreement on your team's Pre-Mission
knowledge and ability. List all
combined knowledge on your same notebook paper.
3. PRE-OPERATIONS MISSION
INTELLIGENCE GATHERING: Since
all four missions concern concurrent points of triangles.
a.
You and your MIF TEAM must gather, read, and study all available
information on centroids, circumcenters, incenters, and orthocenters.
b.
Download Resource 1 below (Required Pre-Operations Mission
Packet) and complete all its included tasks using all listed web
resources.
4. MISSION: MEMOT - Since all four missions concern concurrent points
of triangles.
a.
Download Resource 2 below (Mission: Memot) and complete all
its included tasks.
5. MISSION: MEDICAL MILIEAU -
Since all four missions concern concurrent points of
triangles.
a. Download Resource 3 below (Mission:
Medical Milieu) and complete all its included tasks.
6. MISSION: MINI-MARATHON - Since all four
missions concern concurrent points of triangles.
a. Download Resource 4 below (Mission:
Mini-Marathon) and complete all its included tasks.
7. MISSION: METEOR MAYHEM - Since all four
missions concern concurrent points of triangles.
a. Download Resource 5 below (Mission:
Meteor Mayhem)
