Provided in the attachment section, are links that will aid with completing your tasks. Each link gives detailed information on specific concepts you need to know.

Task 1: Describe algebraic expressions.

You will click the link with the description, audio recording on algebraic expressions. You will listen to the audio recording and record the notes in your notebook as you go along. You will listen keenly to the terms associated with algebraic expressions, that is, the parts of an algebraic expression. After listening to the audio recording, you will now click on the link with the description, Parts of an expression. You will read through the information and officially record key information. These documents provide you with information on the description of algebraic expressions.

Task 2: Identify the steps in evaluating algebraic expressions. 

You will locate the file with the description, "Sub me in". This file will open into a powerpoint activity that will help you to figure out the steps involved when evaluating algebraic expressions.  While doing the activity, make a note of the steps you took to complete the activity. After you have completed the powerpoint activity, you will now click on the link with the description, Evaluating expressions. This site will provide you with the steps in evaluating algebraic expressions. You will record these steps in your notepads. 

Task 3: Apply the steps in evaluating algebraic expressions. 

After you have identified the steps in evaluating algebraic expressions, you will now apply these steps. You will place yourselves in four groups. Each group will choose their leader. The leader will be the one responsible for dividing the tasks among the members of the group and will see to it that the tasks are completed. According to the group you're in, that's the question your group will complete. You will view this activity from the link provided below, in the attachment section, named Group Activity. 

Go the evaluation page and read through the rubric. This indicates the requirements you need to meet in completing task 3.
