The Water Cycle

                                             Jane and the ice cream truck

Jane was always a very curious girl, she always craved information always wanted to know everything. On a hot summer day, she was skating by the rink then she heard the familiar sound of the ice-cream truck. She ran off in the direction the gate forgetting it was closed boom! She crashed through the gate. Ouch! She yelled her pain was short lived as the ice-cream truck was in her reach. 

She wanted on icicle so bad, she purchases the strawberry flavored icicle ripped the paper off just as she was about to take her first bite her little brother josh bumped into her “splash”! was the sound the icicle made when it hit the pavement. Jane watched as her perfectly good icicle quickly turn into a puddle by the heat from the pavement. As she stood there she saw vapors from the icicle rising “eureka” what is this she said.
This is evaporation chimed her mother it is part of the water cycle which is one of the most important process to mankind. Huh! Wow! Tell me more about this process mommy please I want to know more. “OK here goes” her mother replied. The water cycle is made up of three major components they are Evaporation, condensation and precipitation. Dang! I didn’t know there was a process Jane exclaim yes, it is also called the hydro-logic  cycle.
Evaporation occurs when water from the earth’s surface gets hot and turns into vapors like the icicle these vapors then rise to the sky to go through the second part of the process. Wow! This is amazing said Joan please continue mommy she said with her eyes wide opened and her ears cocked like those of a guard dog. Condensation is the process the vapor goes through when they cool. They form clouds that float around in the atmosphere until they are full and ready to fall the rain.
Final process is the precipitation. This is where the clouds form liquid and return to the earth’s surface enabling us to replenish our streams. My gosh! Thank you, mommy I need to read more, about this so I can tell my friends about this amazing process.
