Becoming a Great Musician!

Step 1. Form your Groups
There should be a total of four people in each group. You must have four different instruments in each group. The rubric is available in the evaluation section to view the criteria that is required for this assignment.

Step 2. Compose your Piece
The group will print the blank music sheet including measures from https://www.education.com/worksheet/article/blank-sheet-music/ .
The group will name their musical piece. Note: Every member in the group must contribute in some way.             
The music piece composed should have at least 10-20 measures in 4-4.

• Keep in mind, even though this is a group activity, you will be judged individually. Show your best skills!!!

Step 3. Submit for Teacher Review
The group must let a teacher review the work before performing the musical piece. If there are any corrections or mistakes, you will need to fix them before your performance.

Step 4. Perform on Concert Day
Your groups needs to be prepared with all the materials necessary (i.e. music, instruments, reeds, etc.). Group must pick one presenter from the group that would state who composed the music and the title.
Remember to dress appropriately for the occasion.

The teacher will be judging everyone individually on this day and score as a group.

Step 5. Complete a Peer Evaluations/Summary
Each member must submit an evaluation on their group. If a team member did not do their share, you want to include this in your evaluation , use the following link and print off the student evaluation sheet http://rubistar.4teachers.org/index.php?screen=ShowRubric&rubric_id=2720856. Also, you will provide a summary of 5-10 sentences stating the things that you learned, what could have been better, and an overall how you felt about the project.
