Process
Let's get started!
Part 1
Click on the link below, and scroll through the website. Read through the information they have provided about biomes. This will be used to complete a worksheet later.
Part 2
Click on the link below to go to the next website, and read through the material they have provided, but do not click on any of the links or games yet. After reading, scroll to the bottom, and click the link under games that says, "Biome word search". Print off this word search and complete it by the end of class.
Part 3
Remain on the same website, and scroll until you see the categories of biomes listed in a box. It should say, "Aquatic Biomes and Terrestrial Biomes". Click on each different biome and read the information that the website gives. (As you are doing this, keep in mind that you must choose one biome to teach the class about). After you have read about each of the biomes, scroll down on this page and click on the blue link that says, "Biome Worksheet". Print this worksheet out, and complete it by the end of class.
Part 4
After you have completed the first three parts of this webquest, get into groups of 3 and begin discussing which biome you would like to use for your project. Once you have selected a biome come tell me, because groups will not be allowed to do the same biome. (First come, first served). You will spend the remainder of the week working with your group on your poster and presentation, and you may refer back to the websites you visited during this webquest. Make sure that your poster at least has a title, pictures, color, and a description of your biome.
