Process
Phase 1: Below is a link to the 2016 National Patient Safety Goals as well as resources that will help you develop your presentation. You will be randomly assigned a Patient Safety Goal as well as a partner. You and your partner will review the resources listed below looking for information pertaining to your chosen goal.
Phase 2: One partner will complete a summary of the goal;the other partner will summarize the element of performance. You will now combine your efforts in writing down what potential harm might happen to the patient if your assigned 2016 National Patient Safety Goal was not followed. At this point you and your partner will decide on a media format which will best impact your peers. (PowerPoint/YouTube/Poster Presentation). Your presentation should give a detailed overview of your assigned 2016 National Patient Safety Goal, the corresponding Elements of performance, and potential risks to patients without these goals. The presentation should be engaging, and creative. Both you and your partner will be graded together.
Phase 3: You will have one week to complete this assignment. You and your partner will be allotted 20 minutes to present your finished product to your peers. Please provide the instructor with a minimum of 2 days notice if you are requiring computer or audio/video access for your presentation.
