Metamorphosis of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar"
Process

Task #1: Each team will read "The Very Hungry Caterpillar." A team member will take notes on the foods the caterpillar ate; another team member will take notes to determine questions the team will pose in their recreated version of the story.
Task #2: While visiting the web links, determine the life cycle of a caterpillar. Compare and contrast the process of the life cycle of a caterpillar/butterfly to other animals/organism. Analyze these life cycles and make sure your team adds this information to your recreated books.

Task #3: Recreate the story and create a book which includes the life cycle of a caterpillar; pose questions to the reader; in a section of your book compare and contrast the life cycle of the caterpillar to another animal/organism.

Task #4: Using the attached tally sheet and the internet, your team will analyze the foods the caterpillar consumed and tally/determine which foods were nutritious and non-nutritious. Discuss why the team feels each food is healthy or unhealthy. From the tally sheet create a bar/column graph.
