Caribbean History: Social Life of the Mayans: Religion
Process
1. View the Power point below entitled "Roles of the Priest in Mayan Society. After viewing you required to Draw and label a pyramid showing the division of the priest and using a creative method link the roles of these priest.
2. You will be placed into groups of four to six persons. You will view the document below entitled the Mayans gods. From the information in the document create a poem, song or role play including the gods mention and present it to your classmates.
3. In the same document look at how the ways in which the Mayans worship and in you books construct a table showing the similarities and difference between the ways in which Christians and Mayans worship.
4. For culminating activity click this hyper link " Parody of Royals-Mayan History" and watch the video on the Mayans after which write a letter telling a friend all you have learned from the lesson.
