Understanding Structural Forces

Process

First we need to split up into pairs. 

The link below will help you identify the different structural forces and even provide general information and examples of each of them.  (However this link also contains additional information about Struts and Ties, and Levers.  Only focus on the information on structural forces).

After you have identified each structural force then you need to gather information about each term.  You can utilize the link above and the links below to gather additional information about each term you have identified.  (I would recommend visiting each link to fully understand the information).

After the quiz has been completed then start brainstorming for the activity.  Link one gives you details for the Card Structure Activity.  Link two gives information and examples of structural elements that could be used to complete the activity.  I cannot wait to see what structural element you will choose to complete the Card Structure Activity.
