Process

1.  Read textbook content covering the Holocaust

2.  Read/Watch sources listed on the Task page.

3.  Take notes while reading/watching the sources.  Focus on how Montz and other veterans felt and reacted towards what they experienced on D-Day.

4.  Highlight in your notes, similarities and differences between Montz and other veterans with regard to their experiences.

5.  Participate in classroom discussion over D-Day and U.S. involvement in WWII.

6.  Place yourself in Montz's shoes.  Hypothetically, you have now been drafted and tomorrow, your division will be sent out to the European front to fight in WWII.

7.  Work with a partner to hash out your personal feelings and opinions towards this reality.  Use insight and ideas gained from classroom discussion to formulate a well supported response to your present circumstances.

8.  Use a camera, webcam, phone, or other piece of technology to record a video log that communicates your opinion in your response.

9.  You have now created a diary entry in the 21st Century!  Make sure your video log displays evidence of effort and use of the sources provided on the Task page.  Each partner must complete their own video log that must be at least 3 minutes long.  Remember... VIDEOS MUST BE APPROPRIATE.

10.  Upload or email your video log to your teacher.
