In order to complete the assignments that are specified in the tasks section of the webquest, the student must know what resources are available and what step-by-step procedures must be followed to complete each task.

Discussion Exercises

Monday-Tuesday, I would like for you to discuss some ways that meaningful learning can be enhanced through the use of

production programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, or Access. 

Wednesday-Friday, I would like for you to describe and discuss a meaningful learning scenario that demonstrates higher order thinking skills/problem-solving skills associated with an production program you have used. You can discuss a learning scenario you have personally experienced or one that you think would be advantageous to students.

Tuesday Assignment: To complete assignment two, open attachment two at the bottom of this page. This is Van's Financial Services spreadsheet. Follow instructions listed below. This assignment is due by midnight on Tuesday, February 3rd. E-mail to the instructor: [email protected]

a) In cell G14, key in the formula that will return the minimum value in the range of cells G5:G12.

b) In cell I14, use the Function Command on the Insert menu to insert the maximum value of the range of cells I5:I12.

c) Change the font size, font color, and the background color of cells B2:J2

On the fourth day Thursday, February 5th, the class will complete the Dr. XIE's exam on chapters one and two. Also, the class should complete the quiz for this webquest on Thursday or Friday of this week. The instructor will e-mail the quiz to the class on Wednesday, February 4th.
