Nursing: Neonatal Respiratory Distress Syndrome (NRDS)
Process
1. You will begin by familiarizing yourself with signs of neonatal respiratory distress syndrome (NRDS), as well as some common causes. Visit the linked webpages for further understanding, and study the powerpoint slideshow provided. As you study, you will become competent in recognizing the signs or NDS and will become competent in detecting NRDS in the early stages. You may venture further than the provided resources in your pursuit of knowledge as you so desire.
2. You will then complete a quiz to assess learning and understanding. Review the quiz key and discuss answers and rationale with peers, in groups of 2-3.
3. You will become not only a learner, but a teacher because of this new knowledge. You will share your new knowledge with your peers as appropriate and necessary.
The assignments should take you no longer than one day to complete. As learning is a lifelong process, you should be prepared to further your knowledge of NRDS in your practice.
