As you start your research be sure you can answer the following questions after your researchRemember, in order to educate young people, you need to know what you are talking about so take time to read through the sites. 

TAKE NOTES USING THE WEBSITES TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE GETTING YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED!  

Note sheet is attached on the bottom of this page so you can take notes online!

1.  What is the definition of the disease?  

2.  What exactly is going wrong in the body? What organs are affected?

3.  What are the lifestyle factors/behaviors that put people at risk for getting this disease? (be complete, there are a number or risk factors)

4.  What is recommended for all of us to prevent the likelihood of getting this disease. (again, be complete, there are lots of       recommendations).

5.  What is daily life like living with this disease? 

6.  After diagnosis (finding out one has the disease) what is the treatment?

Type II Diabetes:  (Type I Diabetes is usually hereditary and is present at birth)
