Step 5
Description: Now that you have watched the video, defined a few important words, and read certain sections of the book it is your turn to be creative! Using all of the new expert knowledge that you gained today, create your own Nation! Think outside the box! You can create a book about your Nation, construct an artistic poster explaining your Nation, write a creative essay, form a comic strip, etc. It is your choice how you will display the information you have learned! Here are some key points to start you off on the right path: What will the name of your Nation be and why? What traditions will your Nation follow? Will you build and use longhouses? If so, how will you use them? How will you run your government? Will you form your own written language or will you rely on oral tradition for communication and story-telling? You can also add more important facts about your Nation if you would like, but make sure that the questions above are answered! Make sure you include drawings and writing in your creation. This project will count as your post assessment. Try to compare your Nation with the Iroquois as much as possible for maximum points on your assessment! YOU CAN DO IT!
