  1. Balance
    • Feet placement is very important.  You first need to point your strong foot directly at the target.
    • Next, place your weak foot inside the the arch of your strong foot about 2-3 inches behind tip of toes.
    • Slide your weak foot out to shoulder-width.
    • Get into an athletic position by slightly bending your knees.

  2. Hands
    • Spread your fingers wide to cover a wide surface of the basketball.
    • Next, your strong hand should be directly behind the ball with your middle finger in the middle of the ball.
    • If you need help finding the middle of the basketball, find the air pump hole and place your middle finger on it.
    • Your weak hand should be used as a guide.
    • Place that hand on the side of the basketball.
    • Demonstration:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDtudeKaC6M
  3. Elbow Swing
    • The swing is where people tend to lose all sense of control.
    • Stay disciplined in your movements.
    • The shooting elbow should drive the ball up by staying directly behind it.
    • The swing takes place from the strong side hip up to when the elbow makes a 90 degree angle with the body.
    • Keep Consistent.
