SMART HOME APPLIANCES:-for a better tomorrow

You along with 3-4 friends will embark on an expedition to assess and analyze the need to switch over to smart home appliances.So, go ahead and build a team of 4-5 team members and elect your group leader.

Task 1- Visit the nearby Electricity board along with your friends and collect the data for the yearly electricity consumption for the past 20 years . Your team is to then calculate the rate of increase in the consumption of electricity in the locality for every 5 years based on the collected data. Observe and assess how the demand of electricity has changed over the years. make a graphical representation of the collected information using Histogram.

Task 2 - Take two home appliances (Refrigerator, geyser,induction cooker,ceiling fan or Air Conditioner etc) which are available in many star ratings in the market. The team will collect the data on electricity consumption on weekly basis for a month for single star rated home appliance vs. a 5* rated one and plot the information collectedusing Frequency polygon

The team will conclude the project by analyzing the demand and consumption of electricity in a household and find BETTER alternate ways to reduce the monthly electricity bill.
