Welcome to South Africa

STEP 1 - Your group will break into 3 pairs. Each pair will pick a task--History; Geography; Tourist Information; people; languages, currency:  all about the South African Flag and diamonds or The Cradle of Mankind.

STEP 2 - Each pair will use the books in the library and sites on the internet to find the information that is outlined on the specific worksheets. Create a MS Word document for each PAIR to save your bibliography information.

STEP 3 - Record your findings on the worksheets.

STEP 4 - AT HOME,  you will gather the information, once you have found all of the information, IN SCHOOL,  you and your partner will begin to create PowerPoint slides that will share your facts with the other classes in the school.  You will need slides for each of the items on the worksheets. You will only work on the slides for your area. Don't worry about backgrounds or animations. We will add those after all the facts are typed. 

STEP 5 - After you have had your slides proofread by the teachers, you and your partner can select an appropriate background, and add images. You can add animation to your slides.

STEP 6 - The slides created by the 3 members of your original team will be linked together into one slide show.  A title slide will need to be created. Make sure the full names of all 3 team members appear on this slide. Add a Bibliography slide at the end and copy and paste all of your sources onto this slide.

STEP 7 - You are done! You are now ready to share your work with the rest of the school.
