A Mediterranean Cruise

You have to get in contact with different travel agencies and cruise companies to gather information about what they offer. You should compare the different offers and decide together which are the best adapted to your class interests. Don't forget to take into account the following aspects:

1. Time and cities of departure/return.

2. Cities visited during the trip.

3. Facilities in the ship.

4. What is included in the price and what not? meals, drinks, guided city tours, facilities in the ship, trip between your home city and the cities of departure/ return). 

5. Good value for money.

6. Means and terms of payment ( for example: 60% for booking and 40% three days before boarding)

7. Is there any sale or special price for students?

8. Security and guarantee.

Once you have collected the required information you should know that some agencies offer in their travel packs guided tours for some of the cities visited but not for all of them. Your next task will be preparing a city tour for each city where the ship will land on. These tours will be planned for one day and they must include at least the following three points: 

1. Main monuments and landmarks (with a brief explanation of their origin and importance)

2. Typical food and the best restaurants and places to eat it.

3. Typical products to buy as souvenirs and where to buy them. 

Once you have collected the required information and prepared a city tour for each city, you should elaborate a report in a word document including all the points in step one and all the city tours planned in step two. The language you will use should be clear and accurate.

You should create a visual presentation with Power Point or another programme in order to present to your classmates the fruit of your work. Imagine you are employees in a travel agency and you must convince a group of customers that your proposal for the trip is the best one. You should use images and colours to make your presentation as appealing as possible.
