American Literature of the Twentieth Century

For this journey, you shall walk IN GROUPS through American Literature.  To have a successful journey, please complete the following steps.

Step 1. Organize your group (there will be 5 groups in our class). Choose your literary movement and tell Mr. S�nchez.  Discuss with your partners.

Step 2. In this section you will describe the literary movement, authors attached to this literary movement, and recurring themes.

Step 3. Use the graphic oragnizer to organize your thoughts. Feel free to stop and ask questions at any point. You can do it!

Step 4. Remember, gathering information can be random at times. As you venture through your quest, you may find an interesting point about social or historical context. Your graphic organizer is there to help you.

Step 5.  After all of you gathered information about your literary movement , the historical and social context surrounding the movement, each member of the group should choos one author you find interesting from that movement. Name your author and complete the author section. 

Step 6. You can use PPT, Glogster or Prezi to show and explain your work to the rest of the class.

 Remember: Resources are provided within each literary movement as well as in the informational tab. However, you are not limited to those resources. Feel free to explore other websites to make your journey unique.
