Though students will be workingtogether throughout the process, it is suggested that you assign each teammember a role within the group. To avoid confusion and possible omission of avital aspect of the brochure assign each member to be in charge or a differentstep in the process. Again, each student must be actively involved in eachstep, regardless of who is responsible for each step.

One student should be in chargeof organizing information that is researched. This may include recording theneeded information along with its related source so as to correctly site eachreference. This student should also be responsible for ensuring that all theinformation the group has agreed to include in the brochure is actuallyincluded in the final brochure.

One student should beresponsible for the computer work required to create the brochure. All studentsshould be involved in the planning and creation of the brochure, but thisstudent would be responsible for using the computer to maneuver the informationand ensure that the appropriate program functions are utilized.

Finally, one student should beaccountable for proofreading and finalizing the brochure for publishing. Thisstudent would be responsible for ensuring that all the final information andrequirements needed to meet the expectations of the grading rubric are met.

Begin by making a list ofvarious items that may affect specifically affect your tax group. What changesmay be going on in their lives that would affect their taxes?

Using this initial list, beginresearching what affect these items may have on their personal income taxreturn. You may discover new items that you had not initially considered as youresearch your current list. Be sure to explore each new avenue as you come toit, you want to ensure that you include the most important information.

Once you have gathered the information, begin working with the group to determine what is important enough to include in the brochure. 

Now that the information have been narrowed down, begin piecing together the brochure.
