Use the following information and links to complete your tasks. As you work through the WebQuest, be sure to follow the directions very carefully.

Before you get started, Open and save the notes to your flash drive (Save as FILastNameTH2Notes). The notes are linked at the bottom of this page. Note: Edit the header to contain the correct information.

1. Your Quest begins by examining some of the basic computer components. When you open the link below, first watch the video (with instructor's approval) and then read the information on the next 5 pages. As you finish a page, click the Next button at the bottom of the screen. On Page 3, click on the labels to learn about the different parts of the keyboard. When you arrive to Page 5, make sure you can answer those questions. Do not adjust any color on the monitor. Click on The Basic Parts of a Desktop Computer to proceed.

2. Next, you will learn about different peripherals that connect to your computer. Again, watch the video (with instructor's approval). We have the ability to connect many devices to our computers that give us more and more ways to use computers. When you arrive to Page 3, "connect" each cable. Click on Ports and Peripherals.

3. Next, you will investigate the internal components of a computer. The computers memory, circuits, hard drive, and other important parts will be discussed. Watch the video (with instructor's approval). Click on Inside a Desktop Computer.

4. Your Quest ends with a look at the different storage devices we use. Open the PowerPoint presentation Storage Devices in the section below, and compare the different types of storage.
