1. Rocket Designer Extraordinaire(RDE)

As the Rocket Designer Extraordinaireyou will be tasked with the mission of designing the ultimate rocket to takeyour team from Earth's surface to Mars and back. Using the links provided youwill have to

-Explore various designs of rockets thathave been used on previous space missions.

-Evaluate strengths and weakness of different design features

(ex: Shape (length & width), fuelsource, wings, unique add-ons, etc...)

-Choose 3 key features for your rocket as well as 1 safety addition you would like to include.

-Either draw or create a model topresent with the 3 key features and a safety addition, explaining why you chosethem and what their purpose is

2. Ultimate Tech Specialist(UTS)

As the Ultimate Tech Specialist you will be tasked with creatinga unique piece of technology that will either help you along your space journeyor help you move around and collect data when you reach Mars. Using the linksprovided you will have to:

-Explore various technologies that are currently or have beenused in space and on the moon.

-Decide whether your technology will assist your journey orbe for when you are on Mars

-Either draw or build a model to present of 1 unique piece oftechnology explaining why you are brining it along and what purpose it serves

3. Food Master Officer(FMO)

As the Food Master Officer you will be tasked with decidingwhat foods will be brought along on your mission to Mars to provide your crewwith the nutrition needed to survive the harsh and unforgiving spaceenvironment. Using the links provided you will have to:

-Explore the Canadian nutrition guide to find what is neededfor a balanced diet

-Analyze what types of foods astronauts have used on previousmissions

-Create a menu to present of what types of foods you havedecided to bring along as well as a few meal ideas to get the crews mouthwatering. Be creative!

4. Shelter and SurvivalistExpert  (SSE)

As the Shelter and Survivalist Expert you will be tasked withdesigning a shelter that will be able to withstand Mar's extreme condition forthe duration of your stay on the red planet. Using the Links provided you willhave to:

-Research the weather, environment, and topography of Mars

-Either draw or build a model to present explaining why youchose to build it this way and how it will protect your crew.
