I have outlined each step for you to follow in order. It will work best if you follow the directions as they are written. Remember that if you have any questions you can post them on the CtMS Artroom discussion post site. the link is provided below.

Step 1:
Watch the video on the "History of Animation" Answer the questions in the CtMS Artroom discussion post

Step 2:

 Materials needed for Post-It Flip-book
:
  1. Post Its
  2. Black Pen

Directions:
  1. Draw a small circle at the bottom corner  of the top sheet.
  2. On the next sheet draw the circle again but up just so slightly.
  3. Repeat the process, moving the circle slightly on each page until the circle is in the middle of the Post-It
  4. Starting at the first page, flip the Post-its/fan them to watch your animation of the circle moving up the page.

Step 3:

Watch the tutorial on creating an animation using Pencil software. You will find a link at the bottom of this page to view the tutorial, along with a link to the software.
At this time you will need to download the Pencil software or check the computer's desktop to see if an icon with a pencil is present, if it is, click on it to load the software.

Create a simple animation using a circle or stick figure or if you like a more complex subject. The purpose of this lesson is to provide an experience of successfully creating an animation. The subject matter does not need to be complex or difficult, just a simple animation will do for now.

Step 4:
Post a response to the following questions after completing the animation:
  1.  What did you like about this lesson?
  2.  How could the lesson be improved?
  3.  Were you able to navigate through the lesson with ease or did you find it to be difficult?
