How to Make Homemade Macaroni and Cheese!

So your first step is to gather your ingredients;
2 cups dried pasta
2 cups 2% or skim milk
1 cup loosely packed shredded cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dijon mustard

After you have these all on hand your going to take a small saucepan and add the pasta and the milk.

Next your going to bring the milk and pasta to a simmer, that stage just before boiling.

After you milk and pasta is at the simmer stage you turn down your heat to low and let the pasta cook in the milk for 20 minutes, or until the pasta is soft.  During the 20 minutes you are going to stir frequently to ensure the pasta evenly cooks and the milk does not boil.

After your pasta is done you are going to remove the saucepan from the heat and turn off your burner.

Next you are going to stir in the cheese, salt and mustard until well mixed.

Now spoon it up and enjoy!
