Comparing and Contrasting Two Versions of the Same Story

First you will be assigned to a group of 4.  You will be working together to complete the final task- a venn diagram comparing 2 versions of "The Three Little Pigs." 

Step 1: Number yourselves Javelina 1, Javalina 2,  Gosling 1, and Gosling 2.  This will determine what stories you will be responsible for reading.

Step 3: Think about the similarities and differences between the two stories you read.  Download and print the venn diagram from the Resources section.

Javelinas 1 and 2 work together to complete a venn diagram comparing and contrasting "The Three Javelinas" and "The Three Little Pigs."  Include 3 similarities and 3 differences for each story.  Use complete sentences and correct capitalization and punctuation.

Goslings 1 and 2 work together to complete a venn diagram comparing and contrasting "The Three Goslings" and "The Three Little Pigs."  Include 3 similarities and 3 differences for each story.  Use complete sentences and correct capitalization and punctuation.

Step 4:  Now as a whole group (all 4), complete a venn diagram comparing "The Three Javelinas" and "The Three Goslings."  Include 3 similarities and 3 differences for each story.  Use complete sentences adn correct capitalization and punctuation.

Step 5:  With your partner, you will share your venn diagram with the class.  Both should particpate and be able to answer questions about the project.
