Assignment 1

Fill in the blank report handed out by your teacher (also included in the resources section below) by working on the state assigned to you.

Assignment 2

With all the information you have, design your own report and print it out. Remember it must include this information:

• Name of state
• A map of the state
• State capital (Past and Present, if different)
• Current population 
• Name of who founded the colony
• A picture of the state flag
• Date it became a colony and order number
• Date it became a state and order number
• Major industries (Past and Present)
• Largest cities
• At least 2 pieces of "Interesting Information" of your choosing (Past or Present) (something you think is really important or interesting to highlight).

Past and Present means that you must include the information from when it was a colony and the present day information.

Assignment 3

Present your work to the rest of your classmates so that they can also learn about the state you worked on.

Listen to your classmates' presentations on their states and fill in the report for each state (handed out by your teacher and included in the resources section below). Ask questions if you need repetition or further clarification.

Assignment 4

Working as a big group (the whole class), design and make the final poster showing North America, the 13 colonies and their capitals.
